The effect of different pulp capping materials on cell viability of dental pulp stem cell after 3 days. (a) The cell viability was assessed by MTT assay and the percentage of stem cell viability compared to untreated control (100%). All capping materials MTA, Ca(OH)2, Biodentin and Emdogain showed variable cytotoxicity against DPSC compared to control (P value < 0.0001). (b) Morphological appearance of DPSC is shown after addition of different capping materials under light inverted microscopy. (magnification ×100). Microscopic pictures show reduction in the number of cells and morphological changes in treated cells especially with Ca(OH)2 compared to the untreated control. The experiment was performed in triplicate and the results are expressed as mean ± SEM
