Histological analysis of salivary glands at 12 weeks post-RI treatment. In Alcian blue (AB) staining, the fucoidan group had more mucin-containing parenchymal areas than the RI-exposed group (RI group). Masson’s trichrome (MT) staining showed that the fucoidan group exhibited less periductal fibrosis than the RI-exposed group.
