Bacterial counts are given as means in Log10 CFU/mL with standard deviations at different time points (baseline, immediately after treatment, after 3 and after 6 months). There were no statistical differences between the groups. Significant intragroup differences compared to baseline are given for different time points where applicable (* p < 0.05)
