Histologic view of biopsy material in the newly formed bone area, hematoxylin and eosin staining. The new bone consisted of both lamellar and woven bone. Osteocytes were present in the lacunae. The HPMM β-TCP particles were integrated into the network of newly formed trabecular bone. Osteoblasts were detected next to the characteristic outlines of the newly formed bone.
