Conditional inference tree to identify the factors most strongly associated with caries experience by the time of kindergarten check-up in the “kindergarten subset”. The label Western includes the countries in Western Europe (except Switzerland), Scandinavia, USA, CAN, AUS and NZL. S-AM/AFR/ASIA stands for South America/Africa/Asia and E-EUR/TU/RUS for Eastern Europe/Turkey/Russia. P values were calculated using permutation tests with Bonferroni-adjustment.
