Interferometry images and surface characteristics of the smooth titanium surfaces. Images from interferometry were produced with SPIP™. The average height deviation (Sa), density of summits (Sds) and surface enlargement (Sdr) are shown for the different surfaces; SG (sol-gel derived nanoporous TiO2 coated), HT (heat-treated), TU (turned) and OC (anodically oxidized Ca2+ incorporated) surfaces.
