  1. Total color change (ΔE) in extrinsic stain scores by chewing gums A, B and C and saliva after 60 min or 120 min of in vitro mastication (mean ± standard deviation of 16 samples (n = 16)). Values with the same number of asterisks are not statistically different. Gums A and B versus C or saliva, as well as C versus saliva, are significantly different (at p < 0.01) at both 60 and 120 min.
