PAR-1 (a), PAR-2 (b) and PAR-3 (c) protein expression in response to P. gingivalis supernatant. PARs expression was evaluated by flow cytometry in response to cell-free supernatant from P. gingivalis and TLCK-preincubated supernatant in GECs. Flow cytometry analyses were performed on a FACScan. After P. gingivalis supernatant treatment for 6 h, the expression of PAR-2 was upregulated compared to untreated control cells. Conversely, PAR-1 and PAR-3 expression was significantly downregulated after treatment. Data are shown as the mean with the standard deviation (mean ± SD). *, P < 0.05, compared with control values.
