To determine classifications of mental health (MH) days for this analysis, those answering “0” were placed in the reference group. Quartiles was chosen for the classification of the remainder because it enabled each stratum to have close to the same number of records, and because the classifications were somewhat intuitive, in that the first two categories included less than one week, the third category was one to two weeks, and the fourth category was more than two weeks
